A Turkish corporation, TRJet is based in Ankara, Turkey, and serves the Regional Aircraft Project as well as the commercial aviation sector. The newly launched Turkish Regional Aircraft Project utilizes the TRJ328™ aircraft, a modernized version of the Dornier 328 (D328), as a first step toward production of Turkey’s first domestically-built passenger aircraft. TRJet will ultimately produce and sell the TRJ328, as well as other variants, and will play an essential role in producing Turkey’s first indigenous passenger aircraft.
TRJet leverages the legacies of two esteemed aviation companies, Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) and 328 Support Services GmbH (328), combining modern German aircraft engineering with the latest industry modification standards and expertise. The Turkish government will capitalize on this technology, and on Dornier’s longstanding reputation for innovation and performance, to support the growth of Turkey’s civil aviation industry and to open the country to the global aviation market. The 328 is certified in 85 countries around the world, and is currently in use in the U.S., Switzerland, Germany, U.K. and Denmark.
